TDEM is now accepting applications for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Post Fire (HMGP Post Fire) designated in the Fire Management Assistance Grant Declaration for FM5288 Copper Breaks Fire affecting Hardeman County. The six-month estimate provided by FEMA is for $454,432 available in HMGP funding for this declaration.
Eligible sub-applicants include state agencies, local governments, tribal governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations. All entities seeking funding under this opportunity must have a FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Action Plan at the time the project is submitted to FEMA for consideration and at the time an award is made except for projects to develop or update mitigation plans. An exception to this requirement may be requested on a case-by-case basis in accordance with FEMA’s 2015 HMA Guidance.
All applications must be received by TDEM no later than May 1, 2020 in order to be considered for funding under this opportunity.
