TDEM is now accepting applications for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program associated with the Major Disaster Declaration DR-4454. This disaster includes  Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy Counties.

Eligible sub-applicants include state agencies, local governments, tribal governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations. All entities seeking funding under this opportunity must have a FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Action Plan at the time the project is submitted to FEMA for consideration and at the time an award is made except for projects to develop or update mitigation plans. An exception to this requirement may be requested on a case-by-case basis in accordance with FEMA’s 2015 HMA Guidance.

All applications must be received by TDEM no later than November 13, 2020 in order to be considered for funding under this opportunity.
