2019 PRE-DISASTER MITIGATION

Governor Abbott and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) announce the open application period for the Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant Program. The Notice of Funding Opportunity provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) states that the PDM program is funded at $250,000,000 for FY 2019. The State/Territorial/Tribal set aside amount remains $575,000 per state, territory, or tribe. Eligible subapplicants include state agencies, local governments, and tribal governments. All entities seeking funding under this opportunity must have a FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Plan at the time the project is submitted to FEMA (except planning projects).

All applications must be submitted to TDEM through FEMA’s eGrants system. All applications must be received by TDEM no later than December 13, 2019 in order to be considered for funding under this opportunity.
