2022 Wildfires

Overview

  • Increased fire weather conditions exist in parts of the state including portions of North Texas, Central Texas, and East Texas.
  • An abundance of critically-to-extremely dry fuels, combined with low humidity levels support wildfire ignitions.
  • Texans in the areas of concern are encouraged to make an evacuation plan with multiple routes, prepare an emergency kit with supplies, heed guidance from local officials and monitor local news.
  • Texans who sustained damage caused by wildfires are encouraged to report damage through the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT).
