2026 March Wildfires

Overview

  • Elevated-to-critical fire weather threatens large portions of the western two-thirds of the state through at least Tuesday. Conditions are particularly deteriorated in the Panhandle region.
  • High winds could cause blowing dust, possible damage to power lines and other infrastructure, and hazardous travel conditions.
  • Do your part to ensure NO NEW STARTS: ready.gov/wildfires
  • Texans who sustained damage caused by wildfires are encouraged to report damage through the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT).
