TDEM Opens Registration for 2026 Texas Emergency Management Conference

The Conference runs May 26-29 at the Fort Worth Convention Center

AUSTIN - The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) announced today that registration is officially open for the 2026 Texas Emergency Management Conference, which takes place May 26–29, 2026, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

This three-and-a-half-day event is the premier gathering for Texas emergency management professionals, featuring a wide range of workshops designed to advance education, share innovative ideas, and spotlight leading experts from across the Lone Star State and beyond. The Conference offers not only cutting-edge insights but also valuable opportunities for collaboration and networking with key stakeholders.

“The Texas Emergency Management Conference is where experience meets innovation,” said Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. “Every year, we bring together the best minds and most dedicated responders to strengthen our ability to protect lives and property. The disaster and emergency services discipline requires continuous commitment, and this event helps emergency management professionals prepared to support communities before, during, and after disasters.”

With more than 180,000 square feet of exhibit space, the Conference welcomed a record 4,000+ attendees in 2025, including first responders, emergency managers, elected officials, and jurisdictional leaders from across the nation. In addition to educational experiences and networking opportunities, this year’s attendees will gain hands-on exposure to products and services that enhance disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

“The Texas Emergency Management Conference reflects what makes emergency management in Texas strong; dedicated professionals working together to protect our communities,” said Texas A&M University System Chancellor Glenn Hegar. “TDEM is a vital part of the Texas A&M University System, and the people who serve there lead with professionalism, preparation, and a deep sense of duty. This conference brings together the experience, innovation, and partnerships that help Texas respond when it matters most. I am proud to support a program that continues to set the national standard for protecting life and property.”

“I’m proud to welcome the Texas Emergency Management Conference back to Fort Worth for the fourth year in a row,” said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. “Hosting this meeting highlights our city’s commitment to preparedness and collaboration, and we look forward to welcoming emergency management professionals from across Texas to experience everything Fort Worth has to offer.”

The Conference will conclude with a celebratory concert honoring the dedication of emergency management professionals. Details about the concert will be announced at a later date. This exclusive performance will be free for registered attendees.
