Registration Opens for 2023 Texas Emergency Management Conference

The Conference Moves to Fort Worth

AUSTIN — The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is pleased to announce that registration is open for the 2023 Texas Emergency Management Conference.

The Conference takes place from May 30- June 2, 2023 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth.

The three-and-a-half day dynamic event promises dozens of valuable workshops for continuing education, an exhibit hall representing the services of emergency management professionals from around the nation, and a variety of networking opportunities with key stakeholders.

The Conference attracts over 3,000 elected officials, first responders, emergency managers, and decision makers from across the Lone Star State and the United States. The Conference provides jurisdictional leaders an opportunity to see and learn about innovative products and services from numerous organizations in the exhibit hall, which boasts over 180,000 square feet of space.

“We are thrilled to bring The Conference to Fort Worth this year,” said Texas Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd. “TDEM is excited to host this important forum to exchange ideas and promote collaboration between professionals at the forefront of emergency management.”

Moving The Conference to Fort Worth is another step in efforts by the agency to enhance collaboration between first responders and private industry to improve emergency management capabilities in the state, capitalizing on The Texas A&M University System's expanded presence in North Texas.

"As the footprint of Texas A&M-Fort Worth grows, I am proud that TDEM is hosting this influential event to continue meaningful conversations about emergency management within our state and our communities," said Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp. "I am energized by the continued strides made by TDEM and our System partners to share best practices and improve quality of life for people across the state."

“I’m excited to welcome the Texas Emergency Management Conference to Fort Worth this spring,” said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. “Some of the brightest in innovation, aerospace, aviation, oil and gas, medical, and transportation call Fort Worth home, and I’m looking forward to showcasing the vibrant industry we have in our city.”
